Nancy Alder style postin’ today my friends.
(with a seriously southern drawl)
This is a nice little Little Feat song that speaks to me. It’s beautiful. The lyrics are lovely, really. Even if you have a distaste for the references to drugs, human trafficking, smuggling “smokes”, driving drunk and poor grooming it’s still quite beautiful.
Now, My Daddy was a truck driver- and I met him twice in my life. But he’s in me- If this truck-drivin’ song is accurate then my friends you can sit down in your Utkatasana and pass the wine because for some reason unknown to me I am still willin’. Teaching yoga and owning yoga studios has been like being “kicked by the wind”- don’t you think for a minute it hasn’t been.
Oh, Dear Ones it has fed me. It still feeds me. But teaching yoga is HARD. (Prancing around a room and talking to your hear yourself talk is as easy as it looks.) Getting in there and really teaching people where they are… that takes commitment, harnessing spirit and the direction of energy. It also takes independent study, a self-practice, deep thought, meditation and time to reload, release and restore. When there are issues, political, physical or just “life” going forward it takes even more from you.
Transformation is in the midst and I am streamlining my life. So,things are moving and shaking!
I am reworking the studio schedule finding where the energy pools… I am actually taking 2 whole days “off” a week! (does a yogadork ever get a day off??). This yoga thing needs to work for me as well for as y’all. So as long as you “show me a sign” you are still willin’, then so am I friends. So am I.
